Thirty Four years later and the Fethard car boot sale is bigger and better than ever.  The family run market takes place every Sunday and bank holiday Monday.  It boasts being one of Ireland’s largest car boot sales, attracting customers and stall holders from all over the country.

Situated at the former railway station goods store, now a museum, the car boot sale is a highly organised weekly event.  Each Sunday stall holders arrive and commence setup at 9am and the sale opens to the public at 10am.

If you are interested in taking a stall, it could not be easier! Just come along and we will provide you with a table to sell your goods from.  You can decide whether you would like to remain indoors or outside. 70% of stalls are situated inside and no pre booking is required.  Once you have your items on display it’s a case of let the bargaining begin. Set your prices and prepare to be amazed as you come to realise that what is no longer of use to you is exactly what someone else is looking for.  Many people find this a great way to clear out their home and make some money in the process - killing two birds with one stone as they say!

There is a significant social aspect associated with the market. It offers people a chance to meet up and chat about the week’s events over a cup of coffee.  Many a relationship has blossomed here and entire families, second and third generations, make it their business to meet up at the Sunday car boot sale!

Bargains are always available from toys, tools, books, clothes, antiques, household items, car accessories and collectables. Whatever you are looking for, you are sure to find it at the Fethard car boot sale.
